Aimhigher... with Bishop Auckland
My Aimhigher Trip...

The Whole idea of the trip was to make us 'Aimhigher'. They were trying to teach us that if we went on to higher education we could earn more money, make loads of new friends, get a better job and have lots of fun. They put that idea across by involving us in various videos, talks and two workshops from Teesside and Newcastle Universities. They explained it in a fun, interesting way that was appealing to teenagers.

We got to work with students from both universities which was helpful because the had the same views about school as us and we weren't hearing 'Aimhigher' from a teacher.

The Teesside workshop was fun because we had to make an outfit about the particular course we had been assigned. You had to include logos, slogans, different courses and contact details on your outfit and someone modelled it at the end. I learnt that you can go to university and learn about almost anything such as Disaster Studies and Gambling Studies!

The Roadshow really helped me and now I know what university can offer you.
